Course Description

The ITIL® Foundation 2011 is an introduction to ITIL® courses that allows participants to become familiar with the basic structure and content of the 2011 version of ITIL®. This training provides an overview of the service management lifecycle (ITSM) and ITIL library (Information Technology Infrastructure Librairy). By participating in the training will help participants acquire a basic understanding of ITSM and to move towards other more specialized training.

This training is an excellent starting point for those wanting to understand IT changes in their organization towards IT management services rather than infrastructure management. Course materials are an introduction to the basics of managing IT services, processes, according to the approach presented in the ITIL library. The course examines various aspects of IT service management, including interaction with end users and financial management processes.

This training allows participants to have a complete overview of ITSM processes according to ITIL® and allows participants to better assess which areas of their business need improvement. The study material is supplemented by practical exercises.

Obtaining the certificate ITIL® 2011 Foundation is a prerequisite for more advanced ITIL® certifications.

Certification

This three-day training gives access to the certification exam organized the afternoon of the third day. The course prepares for the final examination with samples of questions and preparation workshops to re-apply the acquired knowledge.
The exam does not permit access to class material and consists of 40 questions to answer in 60 minutes . The passage mark is 65%.

Once successful, the student will get the ITIL Foundation 2011 certification
